First Step Recovery

“I came here all the way from New York, as I’m originally from Youngstown and needed to get away from my surroundings for a bit and have a hard reset. Left treatment today and had a really nice experience here. The staff is super friendly and nice and have a lot of experience with addiction and treatment. As well, the counselors were all great and the groups were helpful. Don’t come here if you expect to go on vacation or are simply in need of housing and are looking for a day spa that has a medical cabinet. Groups and H & I are a collective seven hours a day (morning, break, afternoon, break, evening) and attendance is expected. All things said, made some friends, got about as sober as anyone could get in a month, and learned that I’m still apparently really very terrible at basketball. Would recommend. Lastly - All my brothers.”

“First Step Recovery saved my life. They go above and beyond to meet the clients needs to the best of their ability. If you are willing & ready to do your part and stay positive, you won't find a better place for Recovery in this area (NE Ohio)! However if you aren't ready and you affect other clients' rehab negatively, they will try to work with you because they don't want to put people out on the street when they obviously need help. If the situation doesn't change, they will make other arrangements for you and send you out to somewhere else so the truly serious clients can focus & work on themselves without drama and distractions. All they ask of you is to be serious about Recovery. I met truly wonderful people, some of which have become family to me. The staff is amazing. My appreciation & thanks goes so much deeper than they will ever even realize. My life has been changed! They are accepting of ALL people no matter who you are, race, religion, sexual preference, etc... I HIGHLY recommend First Step Recovery if you're ready to change your life for the better.
